WHAT IS IT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Tool called The Decision-Making Assistant for the Selection of the Location of the Biodegradable Waste Organic Recycling Installation DAWLIROOB, developed in the MS Excel spreadsheet environment, is used to support the selection process of the location for the organic recycling of biodegradable waste installations.
The aim of the support is to choose the most advantageous location of the municipal waste biological conversion installation (hereinafter IBPOK) based on the segregated biodegradable fraction (BIO) of municipal waste for energy production on the example of a selected poviat in the Mazowieckie voivodship.
The planned project may in the near future become one of the basic elements of the economy system in the region of waste management,
at the same time generating green electricity.
The solution can ultimately be used as a tool for the needs of, among others small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking for locations for ecological investments in the area of waste management.
The tool was developed in the MS Excel spreadsheet environment and requires macro support to be enabled when running.
The workbook consists of:
Sheets containing data on potential locations of the analyzed investment
(“Gmina_A”, “Gmina_B”, …, “Gmina_F”)
Sheet “MacierzOcen” containing the evaluation matrix of investment location variants, to which the data are automatically downloaded
from the sheets “Gmina_A”, “Gmina_B”, …, “Gmina_F”.
The so-called “Ideal point”, i.e. a fictitious variant of the investment location with the best scores on all criteria in the considered location variants. The ideal point will be used in the compromise programming method to determine the most advantageous location
The “Criteria Weights” sheet that allows assigning weights
to individual groups of criteria,
“Sum of Ratings”, “Weighted Sum” and “Prog Kompromis” sheets containing decision rules enabling the introduction of a ranking of location variants from the most favorable to the least favorable
